Get to know Milner

 

Milner is 12 and will be starting Grade 5 in 2025. Milner lives with her mother and 3 siblings. Unfortunately, Milner’s mother dropped out of school at a young age and was forced into marriage. Her husband then left her after having 4 children so now Milner’s mother is working very hard trying to support her family financially, but it is difficult for her to find a secure job due to her limited education. Because of this, the family usually lacks the funds for school fees.

You can give Milner the gift of education, and as they say “If you educate a woman, you educate an entire generation!”

Girls who are unable to attend school have a high risk of becoming pregnant or being forced into marriage, whereas boys have a high risk of underage drinking, smoking, and becoming involved in petty crime.
