Meet Miriam!

Miriam is 17 and will be starting Grade 10 in 2024. Miriam’s favorite colour is blue and her favorite subject is Religious Education. She loves playing football and netball and when she grows up, she wants to become a Doctor! Miriam lives with her mother and sibling. Her mother tries her best to support her children but she does struggle financially.

Girls who are unable to attend school have a high risk of becoming pregnant or being forced into marriage, whereas boys have a high risk of underage drinking, smoking, and becoming involved in petty crime.
